New AMV - FFVII CC "Kiss My Eyes & Lay Me to Sleep"

Many fans are excited about the release of Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core. The prequel to not only the number one video game of all time but the very reason this site exists in the first place. Sorry for the brief Holiday hiatus, the blog is back on and what better way to kick off the end of 2007 with a new AMV. Danielle made this one using the song "Prelude 12/21" by AFI. Shuraki: Rize 1/8 Scale PVC Figure up for US Pre-orders

Shuraki figures continue to amaze us here. The newest one to the bunch is Rize. Like the other figures this is an amazing anime cast-off figure. It's a 1/8th scale piece so it measures about 7 inches tall. It recently got announced that it will be coming to America in late June; April in Japan of course ~_~. Once I saw the figure on dannychoo.com I knew I had to get this one too. I do have this one available for pre-order here in my store but don't be surprised if they get back-ordered. Already all of the Needa figures have been sold-out for the first batch to reach the states. Red and Good Smile Company hit their mark with all of the Shuraki figures. I can't wait till more come in ^_^

More DBZ Movie News: Master Roshi and Others Cast

To keep everyone up to date with the Dragon Ball Z live action movie; today it was announced that Chow Yun-Fat will play Master Roshi in the Dragon Ball Z movie coming out on August 15th 2008. Originally I spoke to about the roles when Goku and Piccolo where announced. Here's a list of the roles that are confirmed if you haven't already heard.

Justin Chatwin (Goku)
James Marsters (Piccolo)
Jamie Chung (ChiChi)
Emmy Rossum (Bulma)
Eriko Tamura (Mai)
Joon Park (Yamcha)
Chow Yun-Fat (Master Roshi)

Nothing on Vegeta or others as of yet and from the looks of it, the story line will be the end of the Dragon Ball Saga when Goku marries ChiChi and fights Piccolo in the tournament. So we might not see Vegeta and they haven't called me yet for Future Trunks so we might have to wait on a sequel for that.

Speed Racer Live Action Movie Trailer

The list of anime-based Hollywood movies keeps growing with Speed Racer as promised in the most recent ComicCon. If you haven't seen the sick trailer yet, check it out here. Anime fans have alot to look forward for in 2008 with Speed Racer coming out in May and Dragon Ball in August.

Two Gundam Cosplay Bars to open in Akihabara Otaku District

Yet more reasons to go to the famous Akihara Otaku District. It appears as of Anime News Network and AkibaBlog that there will soon be two Mobile Suit Gundam Cosplay bars. Named Federation Forces and Zeon, these cosplay bars will feature mainly female workers dressed like characters from the Universal Century timeline of Zeta Gundam and Gundam ZZ serving cocktails and dishes that look like the famous mobile suits from the series. Any Gundam fan would love to go there by far. Just wish I wasn't stuck here in New York ~_~. For those who can get to Akihara without a 15 hour flight would be pleased to know that they will be open any day now.

Shuraki Needa Schuetlitch Figure coming to the US

Just pre-ordered a bunch of these for the store. One of my anime dealers notified yesterday that this great 1/8th scale cast off figure of Needa will be coming to the US by the very end of April. Like all the other Shuraki figures, do expect this one to sell out very fast. There is even a limitation to what anime stores could buy! Not such a surprise for yet another work of art by Shunya Yamashita .

This one is rather unique with the war torn clothing and gun. After seeing photos of this figure on DannyChoo.com a while ago, I got to see how gorgeous this figure really is and yes I know some of you will also like the cast-off feature of course ^_^;

Full Sized Pac-Man Christmas Tree

Here's some more Christmas fun. You guys have to check this out. This is a very large Pac-Man Christmas tree. A group of Pac-Man fans in Madrid created this with a lot of hard work.
